This was my first tattoo and was done by David Hale from Love Hawk Tattoo out of Athens, Ga. The design for the tattoo was inspired by the art of Hamilton Yakota (aka TitiFreak), and was brought to life by my tattoo artist.
Ever since I can remember, I have been intrigued by tattoos. I always wanted to experience actually being tattooed, and told myself I would only do so when I found art worth adding to my skin forever. 18 months passed between when I found the artwork and when I was tattooed, and the wait was absolutely worth it.
Beautiful work!

Got this when I was 21 by Jason Good as a freelance artist at the time on LI. Salvador Dali’s on of my favorite artists and as an artist myself I wanted to pay homage to the field and my inspirations. I love the piece and its placement, both of which I was quite particular about. I’ll be mad at you if you get it though, back off it’s mine.

Traditional Girls Head by Sarah Schor @ Kings Avenue NYC

Story of my tatto is that my dad was a sailor. I made it to commemorate his death at sea in 1999 (date on an anchor). Lyrics in Polish, exactly the Lyrics of his favorite Polish song. Translating into english it will be more or less like this: “Dance on the line over a precipice, until one single, short moment you will see why you live”. I love this one. Every single line in my tattoo.

This is my second tattoo, and it started out as the butterfly from Paramore’s Brand New Eyes album. What attracted me to that particular image was how the butterfly was torn and tattered, because that was how I saw myself. Long story short, God did a mighty work in my heart and I changed my idea from a torn and tattered butterfly to a beautiful and whole Monarch butterfly.
The idea is that this is how He created me and this is how He sees me.
Done at Trinity Tattoo Company in Duncan, SC by Israel “Izzy” Hughes. He did an awesome job on it! Definitely my favorite tattoo thus far.
